Captain Olimar had no idea what he would find when he crash landed on the planet’s surface, and he couldn’t foresee how his discovery would change the way people around the galaxy farmed for their food.
He discovered a plant-animal hybrid that would become the future of gardening across the galaxy, and these odd creatures helped defend him as he gathered parts for his ship from the surface of the alien planet. He called them pik min, after his favorite pikpik carrots, and the cute little guys packed quite a wallop when they chucked bomb rocks at the opposition.
Olimar started raising pikmin in greenhouse nurseries, and soon planets across the galaxy were building their own nurseries so they could harness the power of the pikmin for themselves…
