This is an abstract model of a "Buckyball", or Fullerene, containing 240 carbon atoms (represented by the small white dodecahedra). As a polyhedron, it could be called a truncated enneacontahedron. The truncations are represented by the blue hexagons and pentagons. Without the truncations, you would see 90 yellow rhombuses (diamond shapes), in two different forms.
This figure actually shows only the front half, since the back half would clutter the picture too much.
