Spades represent nobility. Clubs is not a beautiful shape, its strong and elegant. The illustration is elaborate, with a family tree like interconnecting arms and with the “kings subjects” worshiping the crown. In French legend, the suits represent the four classes. I was inspired to redesign the shape to capture the class and express their place in society.
