We also accept payment by checks for institutional orders, but not for individual customers. We do not accept payment by Moneygram or Western Union.
Help! The item I want is out of stock!
We try to keep all of our items in stock, but sometimes even the manufacturers themselves are out of stock so we don't know when they'll be restocked.
You can also pre-order certain items. When you pre-order the item, you are guaranteed your place in line as orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Your credit card will not be charged until the item is back in stock, and you can cancel at any time before it ships.
I'm sending it as a gift - can you send without invoice?
International shipments include a commercial invoice, as required by customs regulations.
Domestic USA orders are shipped via postal airmail or UPS - you will be emailed the tracking number when your order ships out.
Canada & other international orders are shipped via postal airmail. Each order is assigned a shipment number, but unfortunately, there is no tracking available for international shipments, but don't worry: postal airmail delivery success rate is over 99.5%. Please see below for estimated delivery times.
If your country isn't listed, then we cannot fill your order online. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out if you can arrange special shipping.

*Heavy or large items, as well as those that require special handling or packing may incur additional shipping fee, except if the order subtotal qualifies for free shipping. The total shipping and handling cost is calculated upon checkout.
How long does it take to ship?
How long the package takes to reach you depend largely on where you live. If you live in California and the Western part of the United States, it usually takes just 1 to 3 business days. Mid-west and Eastern States may take about 5 to 7 business days.
If you want it faster, we do offer Priority Mail, Express Mail, UPS Next Day and UPS Second Day Air. Those orders typically go out the same day it is ordered, when placed by the cut off time outlined in the shopping cart.
If you live outside of the United States, your package will be shipped by postal airmail. In most countries, postal service is very quick and reliable - the slow step is usually customs clearance. Because the rate of custom clearance varies from country to country, we cannot give a definite time frame of delivery. Standard international shipping may take 2 to 8 weeks, and if your package is held for customs inspection, it may take a few weeks longer.
You can choose expedited shipping methods for international destinations. These usually take about 1 to 2 weeks to be delivered, subject to customs delay.
Because customs clearance is outside our control, we are unable to provide time-definite delivery guarantee for both standard and expedited international shipping.
Why can't I buy certain items if I live outside the United States?
Orders shipped to California are subject to sales tax.
Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to custom duties and other fees. Since these are calculated by each country upon arrival, we do not know how much they will be. You are responsible for any customs duties and fees.
Most out-of-stock items are available as a pre-order. You get a special discount and a guaranteed place in line by pre-ordering, as we fulfill this on a first-come, first-served basis.
When will the item be back in stock? I need it by a certain date
We try our best to get an item back in stock, but cannot guarantee that a particular item will be back in stock by a certain date. This is because different manufacturers have different production schedules, and certain seasonal items may not be available when it's out of season.
Can I cancel a pre-order?
Yes, you can cancel a pre-order at any time before it ships by logging into your account, or you can contact us by phone or email. By cancelling your pre-order, you lose your place in line for that item. We cannot restore a pre-order once it is cancelled.
Can I combine pre-orders?
No, pre-order for a certain item cannot be combined with another pre-order. Pre-orders also cannot be combined with regular orders.
Can I change the quantity of the item in the pre-order?
Yes, you can. You can adjust the quantity up or down, as well as change the billing and shipping address for the shipment.
